Hi everybody!
I recently took my GMAT and scored 710 (Q49 V38) IR8
I know it's a good score but it's not a score that makes me stand from the crowd.
What should I do to improve especially on the verbal side moving towards a solid V40+.
My main weaknesses are:
On quant: low focus
On verbal: overall good but not excellent precision should move from a 75% precision to a 80-85% precision
Btw my CATs are
MGMAT 1 680 (Q47 V36)
MGMAT 2 700(Q46 V39)
MGMAT 3 690 (Q48 V36)
VP 1 710 (Q51/V37)
Gmat Prep 2 730 (Q49/V40)
The score might not make you stand out, but do consider the rest of your profile and see if you really need a higher score. Compare it with the median score of your target schools. Except some of the top 10 US schools, you're score would be higher than most other top global schools.
So think through if it is worth the effort to spend a few more months for say a 20 point improvement.
If you can take it to 750+ then yes it will make you stand out. But a 720 wouldn't be of much incremental benefit.
You can even do a free session with one of the admission consultants and see what they say about your profile as a whole and whether they recommend a retake.
