The money Janet needs to save for the last month (June) has to be equal to the amount which will give us $85 as an arithmetic average for 6 months.
The formula for arithmetic mean is the following: \(A = \frac{a_1 + a_2 ... + a_n }{ n}\)
We have \(A = \frac{(60 + 60 + 75 + 115 + 70 + x) }{ 6} = 85\)
\(A = \frac{(380 + x) }{ 6} = 85 \)
Therefore, \(380 + x = 85 * 6 = 510\)
\(x = 510 - 380 = 130\)
Answer: B
