Since you have been most probably preparing for GMAT for quite some time now, by any chance, did you receive repeat questions (already attempted in earlier mocks or during practice) on mock tests that could have inflated your mock scores a bit?

No, I didn't see any repeat questions -- everything was new and GMAT Prep seemed to have similar difficulty level questions as the actual test. I did have to make a quick decision on the very last question on Verbal, but I doubt that 1 question made that big of a difference.
I finished math with >3 minutes left and IR with >4 minutes left and got good scores on those. I switched the order of sections from my 690 attempt to 730 to start with Verbal and it seemed to help focus but who knows.

Hi guys, this is a follow up on the earlier thread and a new question.

https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmatprep-760 ... l#p2054106

So at this point, I have taken 3 practice Gmat Prep exams scoring 760 (Q49, V44), 750 (Q48, V44), and 770 (Q50, V44).

My first actual test result was 690 (Q48, V36) and 2 days ago I scored 730 (Q50, V38). As you can see I consistently score V44 on practice tests but significantly lower on actual exams.

Do you guys recommend I retake or keep 730 score? I am a non-native English speaker but my undergrad was in US. I have no idea why GMAT prep verbal results are so consistent and differ so much from my actual performance.

Thank you!
I'd definitely keep the 730 if I were you, but you can cancel it if you want (because you can always reinstate it). You can also take the GMAT again, but make sure that you don't end up hurting the other parts of your application in the process.

Yes, I am wondering if 730->750 makes a big difference for admissions? It's mostly at the average for top schools, but scores have gone up so much in the last few years..

Also, how in the world does one score V51? Super impressive!!
