(Admissions are now closed for PGDM at Great Lakes, Chennai) Application Deadline: 31st Mar, 2019
Would be delighted to help you through your MBA journey!
To be frank, The interview with Great lakes had changed my point of view. Although i had got an admit from GL, I choose not to go. The only reason in doing so is that I was not ready at that moment. I wanted to get more experienced, and matured in the consulting world. GL interview had pointed out my flaws, altering my way of thinking. I would like to apply this year again, with brimming confidence and more experience and deep knowledge.
Good to know that the interview helped you take a decision. Wish you all the best for the coming year. (PS- I have posted the reply in this forum coz we have closed the previous topic and going forward, we'll be using this forum for discussions)
We follow an overall profile based shortlisting process which takes into account your academics, job profile, achievements, essay etc. Your academic scores look fine to me. However, a GMAT score of around 630-650 might increase your chances of getting shortlisted. We have had candidates with slightly lower scores as well, but for that, the overall profile impact needs to be more. Hope this helps!
You have good chances of getting shortlisted for PI, provided the other details/ information mentioned in the application form meet the standardized requirements. I would suggest you go ahead and apply.

I plan to give my GMAT on 22nd Nov, 2018 and the deadline is mentioned as 30th Nov, 2018. It takes 20 days for the official scores to be sent to the college, should I apply in R2 cycle? And what is the R2 cycle deadline date?
Apologies for the late reply. Since I do not have your contact details, could you please contact the Admissions Team at 9650062121. They will be able to give you the right direction as I think your work experience is at a higher end for the PGPM course. But its always safer to get the details directly from the Admissions team.
Your academics and test score looks fine to me. I would suggest you to go ahead and apply in round 1. Kindly fill in the job details, achievements, essay etc. appropriately in the application form as we follow an overall profile based shortlisting.

You can apply in the round 1 itself. Just take a screenshot of the desktop window as soon as your score appears on the screen after submitting your answers. You can apply with that particular score. The interviews will happen in december, 2018. So in case if you are shortlisted for the interview process, you will be required to produce the official score then. Its always better to apply in the round 1 as it will give you more time to plan out your exit from your company before joining the course. Feel free to contact us in case you require more information.

Your profile looks fine to me. A GMAT score of 600 or 630+ should be a safe score as part of the overall profile based shortlisting to make it to the list.
