Hi Guys,

Could any one please point out the GMAT score range (judging from past year's intake) to secure a seat at HHL?

Subsequently, what is the weight-age put forth by the school (in %) for the below standards:

1. GMAT score
2. Work experience
3. Educational background
4. Extra/co curricular activities
5. Application

Is anyone aware if it's possible to get an English proficiency waiver? I have sent a couple of mails to the adcom, but haven't heard from them.

Hey!

Yes. You can get an English proficiency waiver if the medium of instruction at your undergraduate was English. This has to be highlighted in your transcripts or in a letter from your university.

Dear Abhi5mx

I had a discussion with professors Vivek and he clearly mentioned that for indian male population the GMAT average is quite high. In fact he told that 700 has become a cutoff for indian males. However, the application is evaluated holistically.and your experience as well as your overall profile is taken into account. GMAT does not take a great portion of the application but yes significant importance is given to GMAT score. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I had a few questions.
Can you please share when you had your interview? And who was the interviewer?
How long after the interview did you receive the admit? 
Did you also receive an update on the scholarships?

MerlinAmbrosius , I don't recall the exact date but it was in mid September. My interview was taken by Professor Vivek Velamuri. The interview was vry informal and revolved around why MBA and why hhl kind of questions. There were some behavior questions. However, the overall experience was great. I received the admission confirmation after 16-17 days.I have not yet received admission letter, the admission co ordinator said that they are still processing about admission letter so it will be sent to me as soon as it is available. I had applied very early on stage, probably on the 3rd day after application were open. So maybe that is the case. However, Vivek was very particular that I might not get scholarship or very nominal scholarship because people from my country are with scores similar to mine are applying in abundance.

You are never late. With a good profile HHL would admit you even in the last round. Just know that your profile should stand out because there are abundance of profile with the same qualifications.
