Hi mjmjn2611,

Improving from V27 to V35 would require ~60 hours of dedicated and focused effort. If you can put in that time in the next 3 weeks then it will be possible for you to reach V35. The way to do it would be:
    · Evaluate topic level preparedness
    · Isolate weaknesses and improve upon them
    · Track Improvement and repeat the process until you achieve your desired scores

Evaluating Topic Level Preparedness & Isolating Weaknesses

    · Click here to take a Verbal Ability Quizz to evaluate your topic level preparedness
    · Check ‘Skill Data’ section to Isolate the topics in which you are weak

Improving Upon the Weaknesses

You may use your current resources to do so or check out our extensive Free Trial content to see if it suits your learning style. I am sharing direct links to a few of them. You can get access to a lot more of these (25+ video lessons and 350+ practice questions) once you sign up for the Free Trial.
    · Learn to identify "Verb-ed" forms that don’t act as verbs - Play Video Lesson
    · Learn to understand the "Main Point" or purpose of a RC Paragraph - Play Video Lesson

Here are a couple of examples of students who reached their desired Verbal score using the above method:
    - Nishant improved from a V27 to V41. Learn how he used "data analytics in Scholaranium" to succeed. Click here to read his amazing success story.
    - Nihal improved from a V25 (630) to V41 (760). Click here to read his debrief.

Hi mjmjn2611,

The 'swings' in your Verbal Scaled Scores are likely due to an inconsistent use of Tactics (and not taking the proper notes when working on RC and CR). Thankfully, the Verbal section of the GMAT is as consistent and predictable as the Quant section is. However, Verbal questions have no 'safety net' - meaning that if you make a little mistake or miss an important detail, then you won't realize it - you'll just pick one of the wrong answers (and you'll think that it's correct).

1) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?

Hi mjmjn2611,

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help. Given that on your non-repeated GMAC practice exams, your verbal score ranged from 23 to 30, and that you scored a V27 on your GMAT, it’s unlikely that you will be able to raise your verbal score by 8 points in just 3 weeks. Are you able to take your GMAT at a later date?

In any case, if you’d like some further advice on how to improve your verbal skills, please reach back out, and I’d be happy to help.

Hi EMPOWERgmatRichC

I am not working at the moment so probably I can spend like 20 hours per week to study. I also ordered ESR to analyze my weaknesses. I really focused on only SC and RC for Verbal last two months, totally neglecting CR... (as is very well reflected in my ESR.

You can find my ESR here https://ibb.co/GVQWDD2
https://ibb.co/8Ymh5tv

What should I do to gain at least 8 points in verbal in 3 weeks from now?

Hi mjmjn2611,

I'll be happy to analyze your ESR for you, but I'll need to see the FULL ESR. If you would prefer not to post it publicly, then you can feel free to PM or email it directly to me.
