Hey! Congratulation for scoring such high score! Q47 is decent but for top schools, they really see into the quant score especially if you're planning to apply for some high-level finance or other specific programs. Otherwise, your score can get you into any business school you wish. Well, if you are sure that you can score more by putting in more time for quant, then go for the retest.

P.S: This is a question that will be best answered by an admissions counselor https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/ They can guide you well. Good luck!

Thank you very much for the replies!

Does anyone else have additional thoughts or perhaps examples of students with similar profiles who were successful in applying to the schools I listed (Northwestern, Harvard, Wharton, MIT)? Also, can anyone comment on possible scholarship opportunities with a profile like mine?

A 750 is awesome! I agree with much of what has been said; I don’t think you need to retake the GMAT. Thank you for sharing your story.

Again, my main question is: would it be worth it for me to re-take the test for the possibility of improving to a 760-770 with a quant score of 47-49 or is this overkill/a waste of time and money?
It's hard to say whether it will be worth it, but I'd give it another shot if I were you. Just remember that there is no guarantee that your score will improve, and that even if it does, you'll be looking at only incremental benefits.

The bottom line is that your 750 is an excellent score, so don't make studying for the GMAT a priority if there are better things you could be doing with your time.
