Hello J2S2019

Read question statement carefully

2. With which of the following statements regarding Ralph Linton’s work would the author most likely agree?

The language used in question is a bit extreme. Use POE to select the best one. Now compare the answer choices.

(b) Linton’s classification of Native American movements fails to incorporate all elements of the Ghost Dance ritual.

Option b is correct because it can be generalize on the passage as a whole

(e) Linton did not recognize that some elements of the ritual were quite new.

E is incorrect because it covers only a fractional part of the passage. Its a trap answer. It discusses something which is available in the passage but not fulfill the purpose of the question. It has been discussed in the very last of the passage in a small fraction so students pick the answer choice which they remember from the passage and that is why it was given as an answer choice because it was discussed in end of the passage to trap the test takers.

Hope it helps

SajjadAhmad, i could not make out why option e in question 2 is incorrect?
