I am sure they just wanted you to stop pestering them hahaha like obviously the schools have all of the information and they won’t be meticulous about checking every single persons application box imho.

I just called and they said they will notify tomorrow- probably in the evening. Does this mean - typically Rejection emails will go out in the evening??

They said evening? Ah man, those are most likely rejections then. Way to ruin the weekend :(

Definitely sounds like a rejection portal update is coming our way. Now that I think of it, I shouldn't have applied without a GMAT. I got a ding and now I am not sure if I want re-apply at Kellogg with a GMAT later. I would think that the first ding doesn't do you good the second time around.

I went in the decision tracker and sorted by waitlist. All waitlists candidates were either F/T or blank status. Conclusion is that since admission acceptance is on rolling basis, waitlist is not typical in P/T program.

Did you give them any other info about yourself? Like that you didn’t get an interview?

I think consensus is that they probably won’t be admitting people they didn’t interview (unless it’s like somehow a contingent admit based on a solid interview afterwards but that seems very awkward), so I think if one gave any info about oneself that might indicate an automatic ding then that might warrant the response about hearing back in the evening (certainly a rejection).

I find it very unlikely they waited 3 days to have a special rejection day. It makes more sense that some admits will still happen tomorrow, albeit probably not many. And certainly the majority of notifications tomorrow will be rejections.

Yeah I also don't understand why they would wait 3 days to reject everyone. I would like to think there is still some hope but not counting on it.

On second thought, waiting 3 days for a rejection day might have more to do with them entering admits into the system - like, they needed to enter all of them in and then have peer checks to make sure they didn’t erroneously admit someone, then IT needs to make an update. That would be like a 2 day process and then everyone else rejected would be lumped into this big system update.

Does anyone else feel like we might all be overthinking this? With COVID and everything else going on, this are extraordinary times. For all we know they're just completely slammed and everything will happen tomorrow. Good Luck to everyone!

I believe so,

I believe there are more admits
I believe some might get offers for the fall

Some people will be rejected, and in this case with so many more applicants than usual, it will be more rejections than usual too (even if there are more acceptances than usual). I am optimistic there’s more acceptances to come but rejection is also part of the process and part of life.

This is what I think:

- People who have got the call and been accepted, admissions will get an email tomorrow with confirmation.
- People who have interviewed and have not heard back. Depending on if you are accepted you will be notified tomorrow and if not accepted you will also be notified tomorrow. There is a possibility if the Summer 2020 is full you will be pushed to Fall 2020.
- People who have received an interview waiver. There will be a possibility they will interview next week to a handful or more candidates if you qualify and if they can add them to the Summer 2020 Cohort or consider them to the Fall 2020 Cohort.
- People who haven't heard anything. They might have just not had a chance to review your application, depending on that they will either send a rejection email or interview you at the same time with those who received an interview waiver; and/or they might just consider you for Fall 2020.

Thoughts?

Hoping for the best and wishing luck to everyone!

I think this ^ is a very optimistic series of events. I like the way you think.
