Just got a Covid interview waiver email. Does that mean I'm essentially rejected?
When did you submit your application? I submitted on June 10th and got interview invite on 22nd scheduled for 30th.
Submitted on June 10th as well but had a recommendation come in a week later.
My recommenders did not submit yet. it probably is not rejection in your case. Probably they have enough information about you. Did you submit test scores?
I did submit GRE scores, just think its odd that I got the interview waiver when other folks are actually getting the interview. Hope you are right.

I got my interview waiver today and I did not submit a GMAT/GRE score. Only thing pending from my end is the evaluation of my transcripts because I have a master's degree from the UK. I definitely don't see this as a good sign.
Everything was green except that part. That turned green on 6/24

Nice. Well sounds like they're making progress on some of our applications at least. How long ago did you have your interview? I wonder how long its been taking for that update once someone interviews. I interviewed and just have been waiting for next step.

I went through this thread from the summer and no one whose interview was waived was admitted. Pretty deflated at this point guys.
I can’t say it makes sense for them to admit someone with no gmat and no interview, but then why not just reject me from the start? What do you think their angle is here? What’s funny is that the interview waiver email states “this waiver will in no way negatively impact your candidacy” and “the committee will contact you personally if they feel they need further clarification on any aspect of your application”. Guess there is no hope given nobody from the summer applicants got in without an interview.
Are there any people applying for fall part time on here? (Not people whose applications got moved from summer to fall, but people who are applying for the first time in fall)...? Do you mind keeping us updated on your process and any admissions decisions?

I applied the morning of 6/9 and got invited for an interview that same night. Did the interview 4 days later on 6/13 and have not heard anything since. Interviewer said usually you hear in 1-2 weeks but I am guessing large applicant volume is delaying decisions. I had a 700 GMAT, 3.25 undergrad engineering degree, and work in tech with 5 years of experience.
Applied May 28 Interview invitation June 19 Interview June 21 (still shows red x though)
Engineering and Math double degree with 3.77 GPA so I don’t believe GMAT waiver will hurt me to be honest. 3.5 years experience in Process Engineering and high impact roles.
UT Austin fall starts August 2, so I was curious whether we could get an early decision or anything like that?

I am sure others are facing the same issue, myself included; I got into Fuqua and the program start on July 31st. If I don't get a definitive answer from Kellogg by mid-July i'll send them an email explaining the situation. I see no reason why they can't notify us of their decision relatively earlier if we have offers from other schools.

Keep me updated as it unfolds? I thought about just a general call and asking them about it this week but didn’t want to jump the gun!

Sure thing. If I was in your shoes I would definitely call them soon since you already had the interview. My case is different because they waived the interview for me, which is a bad sign.
I called the office this morning. I was told to send them an email with an admissions letter from the other school along with a date request that I needed a response by. I also sent the academic calendar.
I asked for July 17th, hoping that wasn't too much to accomodate as they will start releasing application decisions late July into August 7th anyways. Fingers crossed.
