Sven: Trade unions are traditionally regarded by governments and economists as restraints of trade, working against the complete freedom of the economy, but I believe that unions are indispensable since they are often the worker’s only protection against exploitation.
Ravi: I don’t agree. The exploitation of the workers and their work is a normal part of ordinary trade just like the exploitation of natural or other material resources.
Sven and Ravi will not be able to resolve their disagreement logically unless they

(B) rely on the opinions of established authorities

Ravi: I don’t agree. The exploitation of the workers and their work is a normal part of ordinary trade just like the exploitation of natural or other material resources.

I chose A because the term exploitation seems to be the hinge on where this argument goes. If you accept labor as exploitation then you would go toward one point of view, If you don't accept labor as exploitation then you would go toward the other point of view.
Choice E is also popular but wrong, because facts aren't really on either side of the argument. The closest resemblance to this is treating the govt as fact. which could be true but is an assumption

If Sven and Ravi both agree on a definition of exploitation the can resolve their agreement. Because the exploitation of workers which can be prevented by unions is not the same term Ravi means when he uses the term exploitation for both workers and resources.
