Hi, I am a final year student of engineering at a private engineering college. I applied to ISB YLP last year and got admitted. I also gave the CAT and got calls from IIM Lucknow and Indore. I am now considering if I get into Lucknow should I go or should I wait for two years and go to ISB. While ISB is higher in prestige the cost of attending is almost 3x (14L vs 37L). My first preference for a career is finance (IB/PE) which is not a big sector for ISB, I'd also like to explore Management Consulting which is big on both campuses. The job I will get out of college will also be less than stellar because of private college. Is the added prestige worth having to wait for 2 years in a not so good job and paying a higher fee?
