Assumption: A significant number of translators who deeply understand the language and cultural background of poems can interpret them adequately,since for the conclusion that insistence from the user is literally wrong is supported by the above assumption beacuse mostly translators deeply understand the language,culture, dialect ,which can make the poem interpretation easier
Conclusion: Insisting on strictly literal translations of poetry tends to result in poorer understanding by readers,so per the above assumption and the stated theory in para the insistence from the people is unjustified and will lead to improper understanding for the readers

But shouldnt an assumption not be very extreme like "significant number", what's wrong with "few translators", the previous statement option for assumption.

The final line reads: "And while few readers of poetry in translation have this understanding, many translators have it."

This provides the assumption that "many/significant number [of] translators who deeply understand the language and cultural background of poems can interpret them adequately

If the final line read: "a couple translators have it" then the previous statement would be more correct.
