Hi,

I am 32 years old.
I have done MS in Mechanical Engineering from University at Buffalo(SUNY) in 2014.
But I do not have any work experience apart from some research assistance at UB and some local coaching institutes in India.
I have co-authored 4 research papers (3 journal and 1 conference), last being in 2014.

I am planning to apply for PhD in financial management, strategic management or operations management.

What should be the ideal GMAT score if I want to get into a reputed MBA or PhD in management program with tuition fee waiver or partial funding?

I am no expert on this but you will need a solid score above 700. Plus for further information, you can check out the following link, It is Admission consultants and profile evaluation link. This might help you with your query.
Mba admission is not just based on GMAT score, lot of factors come into play. You think you should ask them how to compensate for 6 yrs gap.
