How have you been preparing for Verbal Pranitha?

It seems you have already given 3 GMAT attempts

exam in march and got Q47 and v27(610)
exam on September 20 and received q44 and v32 (630)
exam on 20th october I got q50 and v26 (630)

All 3 show low scores in Verbal. 15 days, does seem insufficient for a turnaround.

Hi Ashish,

I am preparing for verbal from gmat club. Sc- I am preparing all official questions and Manhattan .CR- I am doing from all sources of gmat club.Rc- I am doing randomly all gmat club passages.
When i took my exam in march i scored only 23 percent in SC.So gave most of my preparation to sc. In all the mocks I have taken in october , my Sc accuracy was improved to almost 90 percent.I usually score high in cr with almost 80 percent accuracy even for 700 + level questions .So i am thinking that i can score atleast 32-33 in verbal in my next attempt.I am running out of time, i just wanted to make sure that atleast i have score ranging from 670-680 in worst case scenario before december .I am sure that i will score good in quant , so wanted to take chance with verbal. In my last attempt i could not manage time so randomly kept the options for last 15 questions of verbal .I am waiting to see my esr to look what was the difficulty level of first set of questions and where i spent the most of time in verbal.

Regards,
Pranitha

Hi Pranitha, practice is not preparation; practice is a part of preparation.

There are so many concepts that work in the background. Hope you used some material to build those concepts as well; else, in my experience, GMAT continues to be a hit n miss.

Hi Pranitha,

Earlier this year, you noted that your Score Goal was 700+. If that is still your Goal - and you think that you ultimately "need" that type of Score to be considered a competitive Applicant - then THAT Goal has to come first (and you should not rush in to retake the GMAT if you're not likely to hit that Goal). I understand that you really want to apply for Round 2, but the 'swings' in your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores over your 3 Official GMAT Scores imply that you have not honed all of the necessary skills YET to consistently score at that higher level.

1) Is your Overall Score Goal still 700 or something else?
2) What are the exact application deadlines that you are facing?
3) What is the minimum Score that you would apply with for Round 2?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Scott,
The scores i mentioned were of actual gmat exams not practice exams.I am consistently scoring well in all mocks .I wanted to apply for round 2 so wanted to take the exam in next 15 days.I always manage time in exam but i was shocked on oct 20nd as i could not even see many questions in verbal.

Regards,
Pranitha
