There have been varying observations. My personal experience has been rough. I was scoring 700-760 in all my mocks but ended up scoring 640 and 660, eventually 720 but took quite some efforts to that. Others have managed to score close to what they were in mocks.

In summary, don't rely too much on the mock scores. Keep up your confidence, have a good sleep before the exam and give your best shot with the set strategies that you have developed. The more you think of the score, the more distracted you can be during the exam.

All the best!!

Hi there,
I've been preparing for the gmat for about 5 or 6 months now. I will be taking the exam on Dec 22 and was wondering if certain official gmat practice tests are easier than others or relative to the overall exams. i have gotten the following scores on my practice exams and am mostly wondering if my two most recent scores are actually accurate? my target score is a 760!

I'm trying to figure out what i need to work on in the last few days, especially with improving my quant to a score of 50 or 51 and maintaining at least a 43/44 on verbal. I have been trying to work on sentence correction, as I usually get all the reading comprehension correct and feel that SC is low hanging fruit. if anyone has reccomendations for final tips in improving SC that would be much appreciated.

GMAT Prep 1: 640 (Q42, V37, IR7) 5/17/20
GMAT Prep 2: 720 (Q49, V39, IR8) 7/25/20
GMAT Prep 3: 750 (Q48, V44, IR4) 8/1/20
GMAT Prep 4: 750 (Q49, V42, IR7) 8/9/20
GMAT Prep 5: 720 (Q48, V40, IR8) 8/22/20
Kaplan Test 2: 680 (Q48, V36, IR8)
Kaplan Test 3: 720 (Q49, V42, IR8)
Kaplan Test 4: 710 (Q47, V40, IR 7)
Kaplan Test 5: 720 (Q49, V40, IR 7)
(not sure of the exact dates i took the kaplan but it was betweeen august and december while i was at school)

GMAT Prep 1: 730 (Q49, V39, IR8) 12/6/20 (ran out of time on the verbal section, left 4 questions unanswered)
GMAT Prep 2: 730 (Q49, V40, IR8) 12/10/20
GMAT Prep 3: 760 (Q51, V42, IR8) 12/13/20
GMAT Prep 5: 770 (Q49, V49, IR7) 12/15/20

Hi bibiphad,

Official GMAT mocks are good indicators of the actual GMAT. It's just that your scores have to be consistent, which are in your case. So, I think you are in a good position. Regarding the improvement in quant, I suggest you to analyze your mocks and identify the topics you are weak in. Work on those topics, nullify the gaps if any and take timed quizzes so that you can solve the questions under time constraint.

Do not over stress in these last days. Stick to the basics and focus on the process. All the best :)

update i just took GMAT Prep Test 6 today (which I had never completed before) and scored a 760 (Q50, V42, IR8).
i feel a lot more confident now and usually perform well under pressue so hopefully i will be able to replicate this score on the real thing!

That's a great score bibiphad!! Keep up the good work. And make sure you give the actual GMAT with the same level of confidence. I wish you all the best. Do reach out if you need any help with the prep.
