I would take Cornell over Haas, not only because of the financial incentives but also the network especially if you’re going to the IB/PE route. VC/Tech you do have a location advantage going to Haas but I do know ppl in Johnson (currently in my 1st year) who have gone to VC and Tech companies in both on East Coast and West Coast. The alumni are rather responsive as well and will go to bat for you even in the middle of a pandemic which says a lot to me. That’s just my 2cents.

Hi All,

I am excited to be admitted to two top MBA programs and would like your advice on whether I should take on debt to go to the higher-ranked Haas program if I plan to work and live on the East Coast post-MBA. Also, I am in between recruiting in technology investment banking or sticking to the venture capital route.

Any feedback would be helpful!
