Or should I retake to hit 700 - pls do guide me

Does anyone know how the shortlists are intimated? Is it the portal or via mail?

Generally both. Portal update is slightly faster than email, so you might check it out. However, for R2 the portal update and emails were sent out post 4 pm on the day when the shortlist for interview and essays were supposed to be declared

There are many people who get in at 630+ scores, you should apply. However, make sure you project your profile well and set yourself apart from competition

I have been trying to call their admission contact but no one's responding. I am not sure if the shortlist is out and the wait is becoming difficult

It is always safer to go ahead with a 700+ score. Saying that, a score of 670 is decent and shouldn’t stop you from applying. But if you have time and can go for a second attempt which you think can boost your score, then I suggest that you go ahead and target a 700+ score.

Have patience :) As I mentioned earlier, for R2 the shortlists were sent out post 4 pm.

I understand the profile factor but what would be the median gre score for iim a
