210 / 60 = 3.5h = 3h 30min
travel time car: 3h 30min + 15min = 3h 45min
Bike:
195 / 45 = 4.33h = 4h 20min
travel time bike: 4h 20min + 15min = 4h 35min
Bicycle:
90 / 20 = 4.5h = 4h 30min
travel time bicycle: 4h 30min + 30min = 5h
Van:
250 / 40 = 6.25h = 6h 15min
travel time van: 6h 15min + 45min = 7h
Train:

Asked: Which of the following is the vehicle that took the minimum travel time when considering the rest time?
Bike:
Distance = 15 km
Speed = 60 kmh
Travel time = Distance / speed = 15/60 hrs = 15 mins
Rest time = 210 mins
Travel time including rest time = Travel time + Rest time = 15 + 210 = 225 mins
Bicycle:
Distance = 15 km
Speed = 45 kmh
Travel time = Distance / speed = 15/45 = 1/3 hour = 20 mins
Rest time = 195 mins
Travel time including rest time = Travel time + Rest time = 20 + 195 = 215 mins
Car:
Distance = 30 km
Speed = 20 kmh
Travel time = Distance / speed = 30/20 = 1.5 hour = 90 mins
Rest time = 90 mins
Travel time including rest time = Travel time + Rest time = 90 + 90 = 180 mins
Train:
Distance = 45 km
Speed = 40 kmh
Travel time = Distance / speed = 40/45 = 8/9 hour = 160/3 mins = 53.33 mins
Rest time = 250 mins
Travel time including rest time = Travel time + Rest time = 53.33 + 250 = 303.33 mins
Van:
Distance = 60 km
Speed = 75 kmh
Travel time = Distance / speed = 60/75 = 48 mins
Rest time = 300 min
