Excessive exposure to loud sounds can not only damage the cochlea, the organ of the inner ear that converts sound into electrical impulses, but also the vestibule, which is the part that contributes to balance and spatial orientation.

A. not only damage - damage causes a parallelism error because its not repeated after but also again
B. not only cause damage to - Same reason as Option A "cause damage to" is not repeated after but also
C. cause damage not only to - Same reason as Option A and B the "to" needs to be repeated after but also to maintain parallelism
D. damage not only -Correct answer
E. damage - "not only" is missing
