Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I took GMAT online exam and even though there was a lag with the browser on all sections, I managed to get a score of 760 (V:47 Q:48), but I got only 3/8 on IR.
Due to this time lag I didn't manage to answer to 3 quant questions, hence 48, which is low for me as I was scoring 50 or 51 on all practice exams.
Now, 760 overall score is still acceptable for me but do you think I should retake the exam due to low IR? I will probably score at least 740 with higher IR, but I am a bit exhausted from this experience and I don't want to spend precious time on retaking it.
Do you think IR score of 3 will make my application weak at any business school? How important is it anyways? I had 8 when I first took GMAT exam in 2017 and it is quite disappointing I have to face this dilemma because of external factors :/

Wow! Awesome Score! Congratulations!
Most BSchools don't value IR or pay a whole lot of attention to it really. These situations of low IR scores have also become more frequent. This would not be a red flag on its own and you can also write 2 sentences in the optional essay and basically mention what you said here (Lag issues during the test prevented me from getting the best score and I felt 760 would demonstrate my ability despite the setbacks). In my recent survey of 70 applicants, about 50% said they had a lag issue or something similar during the online test. Anyway, I don't think you need to retake.
P.S. I don't think you need to retake esp after getting a 99th percentile but if you are concerned and potentially not going to jeopardize your applications and essays, I can see retaking tomorrow or Wed at a test center to address the IR. While that is chasing a score and perhaps not the biggest difference between 760 and 780, I hate when someone gets low-balled. I just feel like you need to be vindicated

I agree that you are likely pretty set with 760 even with 3 in IR. Did you make any decisions on what to do moving forward?
