Gave the online GMAT today(650,Q50,V27)
Was consistently getting 690 in last 3 MGMATs(scores around the range of q47v36) and scored 750 and 740 in the last two GMAT Prep Official Mocks.
My exam was scheduled to start at 0900am.
it started at 1150am.
I'll walk you through what happened:
1)08:30am-logged in, proctor wasn't available
2)08:55am-Proctor connects after raising issue with examity chat
3)08:55-09:20-check in done and exam starts
4)09:22-exam crashed after answering 1 verbal question, I call proctor for help on zoom and also on zoom chat,no response.I raise issue with customer support on examity, they contact her and she contacts. This whole process takes 20 minutes.
5)09:42:proctor tries logging in;fails, showing wrong password. Tries 7 8 times,still fails.tells me my system is defective because my caps lock key was toggled as she entered the password(as it should),tells me to arrange another PC or cancel.(even though my system passed the system check and no issues were detected)i somehow convince her that the system cant be defective because the exam had already been accessed once(point no 3)
6)10:20-proctor still unable to login.Tells me she will bring over someone from GMAC support to help.
7)10:50-Support guy comes online at 10:50.Tells proctor she was doing it all wrong and she had cancelled the exam instead of pausing it.Says he will fix it in backend and disappears for 30 minutes.
8)11:20-finally manage to login into the exam site.new exam starts.
9)11:40-exam site becomes blank after answering 10 questions.proctor asks to force shut down.
10)11:50:manage to login again and resume after rebooting.
In the middle of the exam,i would reach out to the proctor several times for help and to inform her that im going to the bathroom but she would not respond.I even tried to let her know to minimize the zoom window meeting as it was covering the passage and i could not read it.No response at all!!
Experts please help-i'm devastated.What are my options?

Unfortunate situation. Consider requesting GMAC to give you a refund/free retake. Explain that through no fault of your own you faced a number of issues that affected your performance. An exam that was scheduled at 9 am started nearly 3 hours later, for example.

Hello, Sachinpri. Although your case would have been stronger had you not completed the exam, I agree with the earlier poster that you should reach out to GMAC™ Customer Care to request a voucher to sit for the exam again (without paying the fee). The evidence will be there for someone to review, since the session was recorded. There is little else you can do but cough up another couple hundred dollars to take the exam again on your own dime. (I suppose you could keep the 650, which is not a disastrous score by any means, but I understand if you are not happy with it.)
The sooner you contact GMAC™, the better. Please post again once you hear back so that we Experts can better inform others who may face a similar unfortunate situation.
