What are the benefits of applying in Round 4 vs. applying next cycle?

The biggest benefit is that you potentially won’t need to wait a full year to enroll! Round 4 is a great option for those who definitely know they want to go to McCombs, but who may have figured that out a little later in the game. We’d also like to dispel the myth that having to reapply the following cycle is a bad thing. We value re-applicants and never look down on someone who applied late cycle and then re-applied the following fall.

How does this affect round 2 and 3 applicants? Will they reserve more spots than originally intended? (For example less admits in these rounds to accommodate spots in round 4)

Did they add a new round because they received less applications in this round than previously estimated?

I don’t think so. Many schools have added an extra round or extension for the massive layoffs that are happening now. but I am concerned that they may allocate some spots from the later rounds by decreasing the number of spots available in Round 2 and Round 3?

I feel things shouldn’t change much for international applicants as this Round 4 is only open for US citizens

It may be because they don’t know how to evaluate scores from your undergrad institution

FYI, https://www.wes.org/

Thanks, Nikhil! I’ve initiated the process. Fingers crossed for it all to come through on time!

Does anyone know if McCombs releases decisions only on the stated decision date or are there chances we could receive it sooner?
