A couple of years ago, I created an
MBA rankings survey that asks users to rank programs in order of their own preferences. If you have a few minutes to spare, I invite you to
complete the survey!
The premise is that most "official" MBA rankings do not reflect the reality of how applicants (or the general public) view the schools, or which they'd attend over others. This has never been more true.
There are obviously many different ways to rank programs. The goal here is basically "what do the people think" -- without complex methodologies, misguided criteria, or gameable statistics.

Please follow this link to complete the survey: https://www.avantiprep.com/mba-rankings-survey.html- Estimated completion time is ~10 minutes. (A little longer if you think hard about your rankings.)
-
This version focuses on full-time U.S. programs. I will consider an international version in the future.
- The survey asks questions about industry, education, and location. So with a good enough sample size, I am hoping to identify how these factors influence rankings / perception (e.g., does Haas move up a couple of spots among folks on the west coast or interested in tech, etc.).
- The survey's quantitative output will also shed interesting light on tiers, mini-tiers, etc. We'll be able to see not only a linear ranking, but also what steps or degrees or fall-offs exist between schools.
- As is often discussed, rankings are not a be-all and end-all. Some people are into them, others aren't. Find your fit and pursue the schools that you feel are right for you!
