Can anyone help me with the names of a few courses/strategies/materials that I can use to push my verbal score into the high 40s? I will give my next exam sometime in August, and I want to score in the ballpark range of 770-780. Suggestions?

The gmatclub study plan post mentions a variety of resources you can check out. Although getting scores in the "high 40s" is possible (had a 650 student who got a 750 in April mainly because their V37 went to a V48), fair to say the scoring on Verbal gets pretty steep at a certain point. A V48, for example, is the result of only a single counted question being incorrect.

If you think you can bump your Q50 to a Q51, it may be worth looking into. For some people, it may be easier to get a Q51 V42 770 than a Q50 V45 770.

Checking out some of the 770+ score debriefs in the Share GMAT Experience subforum could be helpful to get a sense how long/likely such scores can be to achieve.

How to get a V40 or higher on the GMAT? What about a V51?

Hi forrever,

First off, a 690/Q50 is a strong Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How many hours did you typically study each week?
2) Did you use any other study materials besides the books that you listed?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

If you took your Official GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

Thanks for the reply. I will try to push my Q50 to Q51, I only studied quant for a few days, and I am confident that I can achieve a Q51 in a few days' time. Although, I need some help with verbal. For a 760/770 score, I still need a V42/44. Can you please share the link of the GMAT Club study plan post for verbal. Thanks!
