I took my official mock test on 25th August and scored a 510 (Q46 V16) after 5 months of studying.
Then today I took the second Practice Exam and scored 530 (Q51 V12).
Whenever I try to attempt a verbal question be it SC, CR or RC, I can tell that I'm just not connecting with the passage. Idk if this'll makes sense but I feel like there is a wall infront of me and whatever I'm reading is bouncing off this wall and is just not getting through to me. I'm also running out of time after the 16th or 17 question in Verbal, so for the next 10 mins I end up clicking on random answers just to get through the section.
Today I answered the first 3 questions wrong in verbal and the weirdest bit is that I had solid reasoning behind the answers I chose or rejected. But while going through the solutions I realised that I was focusing on a non essential part of the passage.
Idk what to do and idk where I am going wrong or why I cant actively read the questions eventhough I read tons of novels.
I have my official test on the 20th and I feel lost. I can't postpone the date either because of the deadlines. So what I do to pull my score up to atleast V36 or V40 to get 700+

One thing you can consider is working with a study buddy who is strong on Verbal. If you can find someone who needs help with Quant, that could be a good fit given your Q51. There's a study buddy thread on gmatclub you can check out/sign up to.
