IMO (C)

RHS numerator is 20 times the numerator of LHS numerator. Now it's piece of cake to solve this question

K= 20*2.5 = 50

May I ask you.. How did you know quickly it's *20...
I got it right by doing estimations and cross multiply, but would love to learn the quick trick/visualisation! Thanks

I always keep in mind that GMAT is not testing mathematical knowledge but analytical thinking. So, I just take a moment to observe and try to find some patternin such questions. Generally there will be one.

Practicing and being good with numbers helps, but not very deep knowledge is expected I’d say.

This is a fast method that can be used in this exercise. Please lmk if there is anything wrong.
hope you like it

k= 2.5(70+2.5)/(3.5+.125) = 181.25 / 3.625

180/3 = 60
180/4 = 45
so k should be somewhere between 60 and 45, which is answer C.
