Questions like this requires some thinking. Dont jump into solving the classical way (cross multiplication).
Observe Numerator of LHS
(3.5 + 0.125)
and RHS
(70+2.5)
Multiplying LHS numerator by 20 gives us RHS.
But we dont want to multuply RHS too, hence divide same LHS by 20 instead!
\(\frac{20}{20}\) * \(\frac{(3.5+0.125)}{(2.5)}\) = \(\frac{(70 +2.5)}{(20*2.5)}\)
Numerators of both the sides are same now.
Hence denominators must be equal.
k = 20*2.5 = 50
