The question, as most of the other table questions, can be answered straight forward from the table without much of calculations.

Having said that, accuracy and speed becomes utmost important.

1.  Median Age : Since we are looking for median age of ranch and foyers, sort table by the year of construction.
Look at the column of type of style. There are six of each type, so the median year of construction would be the average of 3rd and 4th house in respective styles.
We don't require to check anything. All six of the Split Foyer have been constructed prior to four of the ranch, so surely the median year of construction is larger for Ranch,   thereby indicating that median age of split foyer is more....    Split Foyer

2.  Price Range : Sort table by price or type of style.
One can find ranch cost somewhere > $100k to >$300k , so range is at least 150k or so. However, all the split foyer are within 100k and 200k, so   range is surely more for Ranch...    Ranch

3.  Ratio of mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms:  Sort the table by style and check modes for each category.
Mode number of bathrooms: Ranch - 3, and Split Foyer - 1 and 1.5
Mode number of bedrooms: Ranch - 4, and Slit Foyer - 4
Thus,  mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms = >  Ranch - 3/4 and Split Foyer - 1/4 or 1.5/4
  3/4 is greater than both 1/4 and 1.5/4....    Ranch

Answer for Ratio of mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms 
They are asking for mode (the number in a data set that appears the most number of times).

Mode of Ranch (Bathrooms) =  3 
Mode of Ranch (Bedrooms) =  4

Ratio of mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms =  3:4  =  0.75

Mode of Split Foyer (Bathrooms) = Since 1 and 1.5 both appear 2 times, this set has 2 modes (Bimodal distribution- I just googled it). Im stuck here as well.

Although I did find out the ratio of both the possibilities (using 1 and 1.5 in the Ratio of mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms)

Case 1  - Mode of Split Foyer (Bathrooms) =  1

Case 2  -  Mode of Split Foyer (Bathrooms) =  1.5

Mode of Split Foyer (Bedrooms) =   3

Case 1  - Ratio of mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms  1 ]  =  1:3  =  0.33

Case 2  - Ratio of mode number of bathrooms to mode number of bedrooms  1.5 ] =  1.5:3  =  1:2  =  0.50

0.75  ( Ranch ) >  0.33  ( Split Foyer: Case 1 )

0.75  ( Ranch ) >  0.50  ( Split Foyer: Case 2 )

So Ratio of modes under  Ranch  > Ratio of modes under  Split Foyer  in  all cases .

I couldn't get this right in the first go. I think this is the logic. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In OG, for R03, it says Mode numbers are:
                                                   Ranch                                                 Split
Mode number Bath             3 (for 3 baths)                                        2 (for each of 1 and 1.5 baths)
Mode number bed              3 (for 4 beds)                                         3 (for 3 beds)
Ratio                                 3:3                                                        2:3

Does it mean "Mode number" is different from "Mode"?? Anyone can help to clarify?

chetan2u  Isn't the mode number of bedrooms for Slit Foyer - 3?
Houses K,H and A have the number of bedrooms as 3. While only houses L and F have 4 bedrooms.

You are correct and that’s a typo. It should be 4.

Next, I am yet to see ‘mode number’ in questions, it is almost always mode.

But may be they meant number of times mode comes looking at the OG solution.

But ‘mode number’ is a bit ambiguous term if it actually means what OG points to. 
One could take mode number to be ‘how many modes are there’ or ‘how many times mode is repeated’ or simply ‘mode’ itself.

very tricky question if you are not reading close. the 3rd question is asking for "THE MODE NUMBER" , which, is this case is actually referencing not the actual mode value, but the number of times the actual mode number appears. quite tricky, although even if you just use the regular mode, you will arrive at the right answer.

Couldn't tell you. Never heard of 'mode number' before. Neither Review nor OG mentions it either. Let's hope we don't see it on the actual test. What to do if you do? Check for both -- mode and the number of times it appears. Hopefully there is no conflict. Beyond this, I am out of advice.

I was confused by this, too, but I don't think they're saying mode number. They're saying mode number of bathrooms/bedrooms. "number" refers to the "number of bathrooms" and "number of bedrooms" (as the column names suggest), not to the mode. I think the solution is just an error (shocking!).
