But why would your progress for the badges also get stuck? If you spend your points to be eligible for collecting new points, why are the badges frozen? Is this a bug or intentional?

This is due to the kudos requirements. You can earn up to 100 points (or rather a maximum of 99 points), and then you need to reach the silver level in the rewards system, which requires 25 kudos. After that, you can earn another 100 points before needing to move up to the gold level, requiring another 25 kudos. It’s a way to encourage and reward people for participating and contributing to GMAT Club, instead of just using the timers. By the way, this wasn’t my idea 😇😂.
