The first time I took the GMAT, I had completed all the official questions from the Official Starter, Quant Online Question Bank, Verbal Online Question Bank, and DI Online Question Bank as well as the official mocks 17 times. While they did a good job in preparing me for the actual exam, on test day I still struggled with certain question types that appeared and correspondingly, scored lower than I would have liked. While I still achieved a great score, I was uncertain in how to prepare again, considering I had reviewed all the official questions and repeated mocks 1-6 a number of times. I ultimately booked my next exam 3 weeks out and signed up for TTP's Flexible Prep plan.
TTP provides extensive and ground-up teaching of concepts, with examples, as well as extensive question banks and recommend that you take notes as you study through the course, continually reviewing questions where you made mistakes. Doing this properly, this is an EXTREMELY time-intensive task which is where I believe that some may be taking the incorrect approach. Unlike most exams, the GMAT is not focused on memorization of topics and concepts, but of problem types and solving methods.
So at least for me, blindly following the approach of thoroughly poring over every example on every topic, as you would when studying for certifications or school, is foolish. Particularly as I had a general understanding of where I needed improvement, I was able to go into the TTP course, knowing what specific areas I needed to focus on. For example, I knew I needed to relearn probability concepts and actually have a structured way to solve verbal questions. Consequently, for the most part I was able to just skim through their lessons, focusing on their highlighted key topic concepts, and just grind through their questions banks. As a result, I was able to very quickly run through the course, picking out what I needed, completing the majority of the course within 2 weeks and approx. 100 hours.
In terms of the actual content, I did find their quantitative section to be much more in-depth than their verbal and DI sections, with periodic tests of previously covered question types in the quant section, but not in the verbal and DI. Similarly, their question banks for the quant section are much larger than for the verbal and DI sections. However, in my experience, the GMAT punishes mistakes the most on quant, followed by DI, and then verbal so a heavy focus on quant is a positive though is not be the best for extensive practice with verbal and DI.
All in all, I think TTP is a useful resource GIVEN that you understand that what you need to take away is question types and how to solve those question types and you are able to effectively prioritize the lessons that you put time into based on your own natural strenghts and weaknesses. Due to TTP's extensiveness, you're able to effectively dial into your specific weak areas and still receive sufficient practice and from the ground-up teaching on those topics.

That's amazing! It's not enough to work hard. You've also got to be putting effort in the right direction. That's often a challenge to figure out. I'm glad that you were able to find what you needed to improve on and tweak your approach, and then do so well. Way to go!
