same here.. under review since 12/8. But, from what I heard from the R1 applicants, this is normal... At least a couple of applicants told me that the wait time for them was around 4 weeks.

waited 4 weeks for an interview invite or it took four weeks to get the admission decision ??

Hey Guys - I received a Round 2 invite on the 24th via e-mail. My status changed to "call/hold for interview". I was a little surprised to see something on Christmas Eve. I would think that would suggest Adcom would be back at it again for sure by Monday.

i am round 3 applicant to cornell (jan 12). i have not yet visited Ithaca...but i have talked to some alums and have been to a meet-and-greet nearby. i am under the impression that this is not enuf to convince them about my interest. i can't go to ithaca before jan 12. so what can i say/do to be a little more convincing about my interest in cornell?

I applied R1...I tried to be creative and capture the highlights of my past (and expected future) life. It was a cool essay - I enjoyed writing it.

No short & sweet here -- I hit the word limit on that one, using sub-chapters to fill in details. I generally addressed things that didn't pop up in the rest of the app.

I haven't receved anything.

I called the admissions office yesterday and asked if they were sending out invites this week and the person responded with a hearty "Ohhh Yea.." as if they were going to send out copious amounts of invites this week. I sure hope so because Feb 4th is fast approaching.

Also, in a moment of optimism, I checked out flights to Ithaca for mid & late Jan and the prices were high plus all the flights had little notes like "1 ticket left for this flight", "3 tickets left for this flight" etc.
