In speaking with previous applicants and admissions members, Haas is notorious for random trickled interview invites.
Invites will go out in bulk the rest of this week and next week before the Super Saturday but invites will continue past that date as well and all the way up to 3/17.
Do not lose hope everyone! (I still haven't heard anything myself)
thanks for the info cyrez8! Hopefully there will be lots of invites in the next few days I will be in the bay area around SS, so really hope I get to attend!
Yeah, nothing here either, but I am a bay area resident. I have heard that locals don't get invited to SS, and often get invited days before the decision date, but it is nerve-wracking nevertheless.
I'm going to a Women in Leadership conference at Haas on 3/14. Should I wait to interview until after the conference (since it'll be a good talking point and refresher), or do it sooner? What's the conventional wisdom on this?
Interview after for sure...will give you great material to discuss and you'll have a clearer picture of the campus and culture...etc

Thanks cyrez8. I'm a little concerned that 3/15 is getting close to their decision deadline... The interview scheduler didn't even offer dates past 3/16.
They are interviewing until 3/16 so I think a 3/15 interview is fine.
If you don't feel comfortable, however, and want to get it out of the way sooner then schedule it earlier. There is no point in being uneasy going into an interview.

Yes, I too am wondering when the invites will go out. I am based out of Beijing and can't make it to Super Saturday. I am a California resident, but working abroad.

Yeah, I know, a million people have probably asked this question, but what are forums for but to discuss.
Is there any correlation between strength of application and invite timing? People always say there isn't, but for every school Round 1, it seemed to be the case. Of course there are people who get interview invites on decision day. But it always seems to be the exception that late-anything is successful. Everything I've ever been able to get has happened immediately or not at all. So I guess it is difficult for me to be patient.
Haas has vocalized before (in person and in emails) that invitation orders have no bearing on the strength of the application. They take a pile and go through that pile and send out offers. Now whether this is true or not, we'll never know but it makes sense since they have so many applications to deal with.

I ended up scheduling my interview for the 8th; will report back. Wish me luck!

I'm an R2er and still waiting on an interview invite (non-local). I don't have any rumors or hunches to contribute, just thought I'd commiserate with you guys who are still waiting!
It'd be nice to round out all of my applications with this last one!

Obviously, if you get into Haas that is probably your #1.
If not, and between UCLA, USC and UW, what are you thinking?

planning to visit all of them in April, so I think that will help me decide. of the two cities, i'd prefer LA as a place to live, but equally considering all options.
