Alright I'm not expecting anything until next week. This whole waiting process is absolutely ridiculous. It reminds me of the layoff weeks in IB in 2008.. Every time someone's phone rang, we freak out and wonder if it's that call from HR.

I'm R2, don't think I'm on the roll call - pls add.

The most horrible thing about Kellogg's admission process is

The moment you submit your essays, you feel that a knife is stabbed in your body( atleast I felt). With every passing day you die a little. With every status check, you feel the blood oozing out of the wound. But wait a minute - No respite for you - not yet.

Because of the 'rolling decisions', you feel as if the knife is being taken out of your body in installments. Not in one shot, but very very slowly. Just the opposite of the bone chilling scene in 'Saving private Ryan' (the scene in which Pvt. Stanley Mellish gets stabbed slowly by the German soldier, who whispers something like - "Give up. You have got no chance. This way is much more easy for you. Much easier."

HORRIFYING........

i don't know why i'm on these threads anymore. for me this whole process has been exactly like Pvt. Mellish - slowly being stabbed only to result in imminent death.

Maybe this will make you feel a bit better (?). At least you're not on the waitlist - imagine going through this process multiple times and still not having a yes/no answer....

agreed. I am on the R1 waitlist and going through this agony the 2nd time around as I wait for the last notification date is beyond frustrating! I just want to know already!!

Thank you!! I'll start by saying that I am a living testimony that you can overcome an average GMAT and a decent undergrad GPA with great, unique work experience, great recommendations, and compelling essays. My GMAT was in the high 600's, undergrad gpa:3.3 , top ranked undergrad university (not ivy). Good luck everyone!

I think this process is a mess because Kellogg interviews everyone. People have been admitted yet some people have not been interviewed; which means a decision has not been made on their application.

It is a logistical mess. But, in a way, I appreciate their effort to get to know each of their candidates.

I hate the wait, but I dont think the process is a mess.
The people who have been already offered should be the ones who the adcom think are an 'absolutely perfect fit'! The decisions of those who havent been interviewed yet will only affect us, who are in the middle 80% and are still crossing their fingers.

btw... Just wondering what time do they start calling? Also, did any international applicant recieve the decision by phone?
