R2 decisions just few days away ppl!

just a few days??? you know something I don't?

The official notification date is March 15th, but refer to this post from Soojin - https://rossblogs.typepad.com/admissions ... pdate.html

There seems to be a possibility that decisions may be released a few days before 15th.

I'm a R1 wailist here and am hoping to hear something positive this time.

I'm sorry, but this is old news. A Ross MBA2 student in admissions mentioned on BW that admissions is behind, so I wouldn't necessarily expect the decisions to be released significantly earlier than the March 15 deadline. Soojin even said in her blog that this is a goal, not a guarantee. That aside, I do hope that your prediction will come true.

Something to pass our time while we wait for the decisions..

Seems like a lot of people had great interviews, at least relaxed and more like a conversation, just wondering how would the interviewers really evaluate you?

I mean you feel like you had a great interview but then you could get ding'd because the process is "wholistic" (no disrespect meant). At least with job interviews you have a strong feeling of what the outcome is going to be but there is a fair amount of uncertainty with b-schools. How do you guys think an interviewer judges you since you just had a conversation and not really an interview? Makes sense? Sorry, if this seems a little abstract.

To share my experience...I felt that interview went pretty well..it was conversational and very engaging. Me and the MBA2 talked for around 40-45 minutes. However, he did not take any notes and just kept talking throughout the interview. Sometimes I wonder if he remembered things we talked about to put it in his report to the adcom. I guess I will find out once the results are out.

I felt sort of awful about my Ross interview, and as time went on I felt worse and worse. I was definitely expecting waitlist at best. On the other hand, I felt great about other interviews and got dings... either I am a terrible judge or it's impossible to tell. Probably both.

I have to say that my interview felt more like a real interview and less like a casual conversation. My interviewer was polite, but didn't just accept my answers with a smile and move on to the next question. He probed a lot of my answers to make sure I wasn't just telling him what he wanted to hear. He was tough. I walked away having much respect for him and felt like I had to really work hard to nail that interview. It was very different than a few of the other interviews I've had where it was more of a friendly conversation. I really appreciated that he made it difficult because I think I was able to convince him that I was serious and that I had prepared myself.

I feel pretty awful about my Ross interview as well. My interviewer was not friendly and didn't seem to care about anything I said. Hopefully, I'll have the same outcome as you!

My alumni interviewer arrived one hour later, but he was really friendly. He asked me the standard questions, probed me sometimes, and didn´t take many notes. At the end, he talked about the collaborative community at Ross and his MAP experience. It was an interesting conversation.

I can't say that my interview was bad, but my interviewer was really reserved and I don't feel that I managed to connect with her in the way that I did with other people. I also feel like I was among the last here to get an invite, and I still got in.

Also had the same experience of having really good interviews (Wharton) and then getting dinged.

The funny thing is I walked away feeling that I did ok, maybe not nailed it... but now when I look back at it, I feel like I could have said different things and not said others.... Overall, I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling about this.... I don't know if these are just post interview blues.... :|

I'm pretty sure Round 1 and Round 2 are the same - May 1st, $1500. Round 3 is later. Can someone else verify that I'm not giving misinformation?

Thanks.
