I'm flying in the night before. Flight gets in this Thursday at 5:35 PM, interview is Friday at 11:45 AM. I am attending the Ross happy hour on Thursday (7:00 - 9:00 PM) and then doing a tour Friday morning.
Yeah, I've never had any problems flying into or out of Detroit. However, good luck getting a reasonably-priced flight for February with the decreased volume at DTW. When I was looking to book something for my interview that was non-stop, I couldn't find anything convenient for less than $450 round trip. Most were one-stop through Chicago (this is from NYC). I eventually took an extra half-day off from work and got something for ~$225 with two airlines but I had to get creative with Kayak.
I would not worry about it, Detroit is a good winter airport & on the off chance you can't make it, Ross will understand.
Detroit is decent, but if the hub airport for your airline is Chicago O'Hare, all bets are off

Chicago airports are a cake walk. ORD is generally pretty decent in weather and MDW is fantastic. Where you run into trouble is EWR, PHL, JFK and LGA. But for the purposes of this discussion, just fly direct into Detroit with Northwest/Delta and you'll be just fine. That airport is state of the art and has the necessary equipment to deal with the potential (albeit remote chance) of a storm.
I know this question has been asked a 1000 times already, but maybe not ross specifically!..so if you have already visited campus, is there another need to go to campus for interview? or will alum iv do?

Alum interview is fine. That's what I would do If I get the invite.
I emailed Ross about the status/completeness of my application, and this is the reply I received:
"When we complete the check of your application we will send you an email confirming that your application is complete or telling you what is missing and giving you a chance to supply the missing item(s). You should receive the email by the end of this week."

I'm guessing I'll know by the end of this week?

I sent them a copy of my score report. Apart from that I haven't heard from them. Pearson had sent my score report to them back in October! so I don't know how this could happen.

Nope, if they have all the materials they need, the next thing you will hear after submitting is the interview invite. From what I've seen, the only reason people have been contacted is for non-submitted GMAT scores, transcripts, etc.

They do not send emails that confirm that your application is complete etc. They will only email you if something is missing. For me I had sent them the transcript but not the degree(I though it was not required) and I got an email saying the degree was missing. I replied to the email and attached a scanned copy of the degree.
After that the only email was an invite to interview. By the way I think the missing documents (GMATscore, etc) will not delay you interview invite by much. My invite had come along with the people who were invited on the first day. Just make sure you send everything that is asked in the emails.
