Credit idiom Rule
Credited with :Use this when Credited is used as verb . For verb Credited with is the only correct choice. someone got credit of something , to the person only .

Credited to : when you give credit to the source of the credit .

Credited for : when credit is used as noun.
I hope it helps

MartyTargetTestPrep I marked E on the basis of idioms. Since credit-with, credit-for, and credit-to are all correct idioms, how can I solve this question without the help of idioms? Could you please help me with this question?

This question uses correct-idiom-wrong-place trap choices. Such choices use idiomatic structures that can be correct in the right place but aren't correctly used in the context of the given sentence.

So, you won't get such a question correct by simply memorizing incorrect and correct idiomatic structures. You have to consider the entire context and know what meaning is conveyed by each structure.

"Credit for" is used to indicate that someone gets credit for something created or given.

Example:

Jim got credit for the research even though much of it was done by Sue.

"Credited to" means, basically, added to.

Example:

After you return the items, the amount you spent will be credited to your account.

"Credited with" means "considered responsible for" or "considered to have the characteristic."

Example:

Egyptians are credited with having pioneered embalming methods.

means something along the lines of

Egyptians are considered responsible for having pioneered embalming methods.

(although the wording isn't 100 percent logical)

We can see that "credited with" is the correct construction to use in this context.
