I just went to check my update on Kroll and it states: "Please wait to be contacted by your University." ?

Anyone else? I faxed in my info last week so seems like a rather quick turnaround:)?

Same thing for me. Is that different from before, though, or is it just the standard confirmation screen once they have received your authorization form?

Think it's different:) I received a separate email stating that they received the authorization last week. ONe thing that did change is that I got a statement/bill (for $0) from Columbia. hahha...assuming that's a good sign?:)

I can't recall exactly what it said before on the Kroll confirmation screen, but i think it's the same as before. The bill is just university generated, and everyone gets that once you've signed up for an university account. you would continue to receive $0 bills for the rest of your life from Columbia :)

any Kroll progress for you guys?

I faxed in the form, got confirmation that they received it, started the process and charged my CC.

My recommender mentioned he got a call from them -- they asked who are you, what is your title, do you know the candidate and how long have you known him for? HR did not mention getting a call thus far.

Eminent,

Did they ask your recommender for his/her title or your title? my company recently had an reorganization, so actually both my title and my recommender's changed, i hope he explained that to them.

My recommender also said he got a call from Kroll, said simple conversation - didn't give me any details though.

Last Thursday night when i checked my credit reports, they don't show that they've been accessed recently by Kroll or Columbia. So i guess either they don't do credit checks or they haven't done it yet.

On a separate note, i checked the BW forum entries for 2008, and it seems like some people got their verification completed within a week of submission. So it may take much shorter than the 6-8 wks shown.

I'm unsure if they asked him his title. However, as long as everything was truthful at the time of application, you should be fine.

Quick question: For $ awards, do you not find out until after you've submitted your deposit? Should I just assume I'm not getting anything when I make the decision?

I ask bc I got a substantial amount from another school. I would rather go to Columbia but can't justify the NYC cost of living and $0 in aid. Anyone else in the same boat? It's kind of a frustrating situation...

Hey there. Yeah I think for Columbia they don't start releasing fellowship decision till early March and up to May! for financial aid (including grants) you have to submit tax returns for 2009 in March and I think they tell you in May-ish. sort of a bummer!

I have not heard anything as far as the process being complete or close to it.

I got contacted a week back to verify some salary information - I sent in pay stubs and got confirmation that they contained the information they needed, but nothing since then.

Guys - Kroll can take up to 8 weeks according to the Columbia website. I wouldn't worry about it unless you hit early-mid March and still haven't heard anything.
