Received an interview invite. Submitted on 10/6 a few hours before the deadline.
Three quick questions for those who already went through this step. How long did you wait to hear back from the first three potential interviewers before emailing another set of three? How did you select which interviewer you would choose? What did you write to the interviewer you did not choose.
Congrats on the interview invite.
I heard back from the alum the next day (after I initiated contact) and he provided me with his cell phone number. We scheduled my interview for 3 days from the day we spoke. If you're in a city where CBS has a lot of alums you could review a couple of Linked-in profiles (maybe find someone in the same industry).
I did not think that it would help much, so I did not do anything of the kind. Given that its a rolling process, I would advice you go with the first alum who responds. They are all going to ask you the same questions, and over-analyzing their profiles may be a waste of time. Just be yourself, know your goals, and show that you not only love CBS and New York, but also the idea of being an life-long member of Columbia.
Good luck bud, go kill it!
