Yes, but if this forum is an indicator (representative sample of all EA apps) of the EA application volume then EA apps may be up more than 150%. Last year's thread only has 9 EA applicants and this year's has 24.

Nice observation! Interestingly, R1 applications for the Clubbers seem stable in the lower 50s.

I still think there's another hour, hour and a half of a window today. Not to say it cant be released in the afternoon...

Oh well, speculating on this blog is the only thing letting me keep my sanity right now.

This is strange. It has nothing to do with my Fuqua ID. I tried it from a different computer that I didn't use before - went to Fuqua website, clicked apply now and received the same result...
What's going on here?

That website is working fine for me - don't worry about it. I had the same issue last week.

The website is back now.

Officially no....

The last 2-months while I sleep yes. I've gotten dinged and accepted dozens of times....

Might be evidence of an increasing interest in Fuqua and an attestation to the program's heretofore underrated strength - seems plausible.

When I was at the October 16 Open Interview events, I met lots of other folks, and none were EA. They were all R1.
I think this website as a whole has seen increased activity from last year to this year, which explains the EA jump from 9 to 25.

The number of Round 1 candidates in the Rollcall will certainly increase with time (well beyond 50), especially over the next two months, just as EA rollcall has increased recently.

I think the release will be this Friday, as it was released on a Friday last year and the year before.

November 2009: It was released on Fri, Nov 20, instead of Tues, Nov 24
November 2008: It was released on Fri, Nov 14, on-schedule

I visited during the last week of the open interview period, so after the ea deadline, they were down 10 applications for the EA round (not 10%) sorry for not clarifying

Down only 10 applicants eh? Doesn't seem like anything to write home about. Do we know how man EA applicants there were last year? Or this year for that matter? Do the math I guess...

It seems we have a wide range of guesses for the number of EA applicants (200 to 400...), and same goes for the acceptance rate for EA applicants.

I know the overall acceptance rate was 30% last year. I thought I read/heard somewhere that EA acceptance rate is higher, but not sure.

ew!! you're right. :(

Quote:
In a recent article in the Duke student paper, The Chronicle,Liz Riley Hargrove, associate dean for admissions at Fuqua talked about how many of Fuqua’s programs enjoyed large increases in the number of applicants last year, including its Daytime MBA program, which saw a 21 % increase . She attributed this increase to Duke Fuqua’s global strategy, coupled with its recruitment efforts across the world.

“We definitely increased the volume of applications and we also increased the quality,” Hargrove said, adding that the average Graduate Management Admission Test score among applicants increased from 688 to 697 and that program selectivity increased as the acceptance rate fell from 30 percent to 24 percent.
