another WL here. by my tally there are 28 WL's reported on this forum:

and only 5 admits:

saw another 4 admits and 4-5 WL's on chasedream (don't know if any are overlapping though).

don't know what to make of this.

suppose the two forums I checked don't overlap, we're looking at ~10 admits vs 30+ WL's. also heard someone say that only 200+ admits went out (don't know how accurate though), so that leaves ~600 for the next two rounds with the majority in r2. so I guess the good news is that we'll find out on 3/24?

if anyone else has any data points to share, please do...

Count me in the waitlist troop.

Speculation: According to 2010dreams, they will make another round of calls next week (as they just called around 140 people). But I don't see many people without a call (or E-mail) were accepted for now. So whom are they calling to next week？

Will they do something next week on the bulk of waitlist? Or they will just chase people with multiple offers (Booth, Kellogg) out to other schools so as to purge the waitlist pool? I don't think quality applicants will be left over for March 24...

Haha, that truly is unlikely. I just felt the whole thing is so weird. They called a few...released decisions so late...with the bulk of waitlist and a big gap to fill in for Round2.... You just cannot help speculating. :wink:

If anyone here is definitely going for another school and not waiting, send a note to the adcom so they can consider other applicants in your place. I am doing the same for the schools I am not joining an I'm doing it asap. A big waitlist at a top school like wharton will have ripple effects on the admissions decisions at other schools.
