does anyone know if the application completion date has any bearing as to when the application is read? I submitted mine early and it officially went "complete" on October 14th. Does that mean that mine's probably already read and Booth is not able to extend an interview invite to me, since people whose applications were completed on the 22nd are getting invites already?

I'm going to do off-campus. They say there's no difference, and it's not an ideal time for me to take off work.

But I’d be more optimistic. It’s still relatively early in the game and I am going to guess there are still many invites to be extended. Just look at the historical invite ratio. Right now GC is around 20% and I know Booth extends invites to 50%. So assuming GC folks do as well as the overall population, we should see another wave of invites. (Now, if you really think about it, GC folks tend to do better than the overall population and the ratio should be even higher)

Mine went complete on Oct 16th and I am still waiting. Honestly it’s a stressful process, but I ain’t giving up hopes just yet. Try to work on your R2 applications if that makes you feel better.

Wow. The invitation has slowed quite a bit.

Bakfed, go check out Yale's thread for your question. Nink's answer i think will help you. As a person whose apps went complete on 20th, I am anxious too. But I think it sounds logical that some apps require more review time for adcom (vs. obvious 780 GMAT, 3.9 Harvard app). Since my app is definitely the former, I'm just gonna wait. I thought I did well on the ppt essay, but who knows :P

I agree with you, the obvious 780 GMAT, 3.9 Harvard app, would be an easy reject decision. It would be missing the Power Point essay, it would have HBS mentioned on it multiple times, and it would be missing the Why Booth component. :)

Received an invite today as well. I was a little worried as my application went complete on the 25th. But looks like they're cranking invites out. (This makes me feel that application completion or submission date have little or no bearing on the process) FYI - I applied a couple of hours before deadline. I plan on interviewing off-campus.

I would definitely recommend watching the Chicago Booth podcast by MBAPodcaster (if, like me, you haven't had the chance to spend time at Booth). One of the ad-com members clearly outlines the admissions process. She mentions that they look for "sparkle" - God alone knows what they mean by this.

Good luck and Hang tight friends!

I submitted my application of the 9th, and it went Complete on the 12th.
Still no reply yet!

...seems it's not getting processed by date, nor by region i suppose! any historical statistics?

Considering I have come all the way up to visit campus today, it would be a bummer if I don´t get an invitation!

Thanks! I know it can be stressful, but be hopeful. It's a 2 week window, and it takes time to go through thousands of applications.
