Although this has been discussed many times here but I need a personal advice from those who have actully experienced it......
Guys I am in an urgent need of advice. I have given GMAT twice getting a good quant score each time but my experiences with verbal have been awful. I have scored too low with 20 in the 1st attempt and 25 in the latest. Also, each time I have been running out of time in verbal section so much so that I left 6 questions unattempted in my latest exam. I am totally broken and cannot find a way to improve. Untill now I did ony self study with CAT relevant materials (CAT is a competitive exam in India) and didnt even touch the
OG (my biggest mistake
)
I really need some advice on which course should I opt for to improve in less time. I have always been a good student in english but these consistently low marks are really getting over my mind and now I have got a last chance to give GMAT again in a month around 15th April. My target score is the 40-45 mark range. Also, my location doesnot permit me to get a personal tution so I am looking for a good online course to help me achieve my target.
Please help me since this is going to be my last chance and is my only hope
Also can someone can tell me how much penalty is there for unattempted questions??
Dear
Pariearth,
First of all, as for the penalty for questions you skip, see this blog:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/guessing-s ... -the-gmat/That blog is mostly about guessing vs. skipping toward the end of a section. If you have to skip consistently in mid-section, you definitely need more prep work.
Here are some suggestions:
1) A GMAT study plan --- notice the ones that support verbal skills:
