Area is fine.

Max area is 12*8/2 = 248. so anything equal or under 48 can be the area.

area of the triangle with two known side lengths a , b = (1/2)(a*b)*sin(a,b)

(a,b) is the angle between sides a and b

area = (1/2)*8*12*sin(a,b) = 48 sin(a,b)

sin(a,b) is always between 0 and 1 inclusive. (as thats the sin range)

=> area = 48*[0,..1]

=>0<=area <=48

I and II are only possible options that satisfy the above condition.

Answer is B.

area = (1/2)*8*12*sin(a,b) = 48 sin(a,b)

maximum value of sin angle is 1. so maximum value of area in the above statement = 48*1= 48

Agreed the max area is 1/2 * 12 * 8 * sin@ and max value of sin@ is 1 = 48
B is the answer.
