The problem is that I don't even have a copy of my transcript, so I cannot submit a scanned copy at this time.

If push came to shove, I could drive to my undergrad (2 hours away) to personally obtain an official transcript, then turn around and Fed Ex it to each school. Still, i'm not sure if they would get there on time because I don't know when the office people get back from Xmas break.

This is so frustrating....

you want to get a hold of the registrar's office at your school. THey're pretty used to this and can often turn stuff around quite quickly. My school allows you to pay extra for fed ex services, so that might be the case with you. Both places I needed transcripts from had lots of detail on their websites, so start there.

Right, but is the registrar's office open during Xmas break? I know classes don't start again until Jan 8, but hopefully they have someone in the office before then, or at the very least have a skeleton crew for situations like this.

I guess I should probably stop worrying about it and just call them, eh?

Yep.

Keep in mind that university administrators don't get to keep the same schedule as students. You have a pretty good chance of catching someone this week or next.

Grrrr.....called the registrar's office over lunch and received a message that they will be out of the office until Jan 2nd.

WUSTL and Yale apps are due Jan 8th and 10th, respectively, and I don't know if I want to risk either one not receiving my official transcript on the due date. Guess I will have to take a half day off work next week to drive to my undergrad and personally pick up my transcripts and then Fed Ex them.

That's what I did. Took a half day off from work to drive down and get my transcripts. Yes, it's a pain, but it gives you piece of mind. The last thing you want to be worrying about is whether you'll get screwed over by the post office.

Exactly. I've worked too hard during this process to lose out because of something minor like a transcript not getting to a school on-time.

All's well that ends well.
