I am currently doing my PT MBA at UT Dallas. Have completed first semester (6 hrs) and just regd for 2nd semester (9 hrs)
Lately, I have been tinkering with the idea of moving to a better school.
My question is are there any PT programs out there that can accept and transfer my credits over if I join them? A full transfer would be great, but even a partial would be a great help.
I know PT MBA at UTD allows such a transfer of upto 15 credits.

It is a hit and miss, but there are a few general rules for MBA transfers:
It is easier to do in State Schools, esp in the same system such as UC or UT.
It is almost impossible to do in top ten elite schools. They will require almost every one to re-take classes and won't transfer credits, which is understandable.
I don't have much experience with part time programs, but I think those are more practical and more realistic, what you have to do to make sure you get all of your credits counted, is to make sure the programs are compatible and have similar classes/courses, though my guess will be that you will get only partial credits.
Hope this helps. If you were in the FT MBA, you could have gone abroad or transfered to a partner school, but with a PT and a job, that is not very likely.
Good luck with your transfer - I would encourage it. If you do move to a better school, you should notice a difference almost everywhere - classes, students, professors, alums, jobs... you get MBA once, may as well get the best one for you.

Stern PT Spring '08 admit here...I also looked into this though not b/c I had credits to transfer but some background I felt I could use to skip a few intro classes. This only applies for NYU but could be the case for other programs as well.
According to Stern's website, credits cannot be transferred.

Nor can credits be earned via some proficiency / "test out" scenario. However, there are opportunities to bypass core courses. For example, CPA license holders are exempt from Intro to Accounting. Also, there are exams that one can take to bypass taking some "core" classes (Econ, Stat, etc.).

Credit requirement is still 60 for degree (so no saving $$) but you could potentially take more interesting electives during your studies. Hope this helps.
