Transferring to the Warwick DL MBA program [#permalink]

Hi-

I'm currently enrolled in the MBA program at Seattle Pacific University. For those who may not be familar with this school, it is a traditional program requiring attending classes on campus once or twice a week (depending on the course). The professors are great but the quality of networking is extremely poor. The students range from fresh graduates to those with only a few years' worth of work experience (I have almost 20). I'm considering switching to the WBS DL MBA, primarily for the networking opportunity. Can anyone shed some light on the value of this program, especially the networking aspect?

Have you thought of trying to get into Foster's P/T MBA at UW or even WSU's online MBA? Heck, depending on your work schedule and where exactly you live, you might even consider the UBC Sauder weekend MBA up in Canada. Warwick is one of the best business schools in the UK (just below the likes of LBS, Saïd and Judge) but your networking potential in the Pacific Northwest will likely be limited, at best. There are a few good P/T MBAs in the US as well which you should probably consider (ASU Carey is the best in the west) unless you have UK/European ambitions.

Thank you for your suggestions. I failed to mention that my goal is to network and look for career opportunities outside the US (specifically Asia/Africa). I know the UW program is quite strong but again it may not be a suitable match for me.

Can anyone comment on their experiences with a "distance learning" program? Are there lectures that can be downloaded or is it primarily learning through books?
