Transition from Sales to Finance

It’s hard to give very detailed advice without knowing more about you, but based on what you wrote, an MBA could very well be what you need, as fulltime MBAs do enable graduates to career switch. My recommendation would be to retake the GMAT, though, as you said you got your current score without much effort, so it seems like there is a lot of room for improvement there. And the higher the score, the more options you will have school wise, so that’s really a very important part!

You should also research the schools that might be relevant for you, as you are interested in the finance field I’d recommend starting with checking the rankings for business schools that offer specializations in finance, see one such list with rankings here, for example:https://aringo.com/mba-finance-specialization/
Do note that your current GMAT score really won’t make you a very competetive applicant at these schools, so if you want to get into a top ranked school (recommended, as this gives you more options after you are done with your MBA) retaking the GMAT is really a must.
