Do you have a partner? If so, I would recommend a drive up/down PCH along the California Coast, into Oregon and Washington. Stop at little B&B's, visit San Francisco, Seattle etc.

If you don't have a partner, I would highly recommend you gather a few friends for a road trip (with fights, booze, and random women along the way) that ends with you blowing your wad in Vegas.

I was just in Austin and all the locals kept saying "this is where everybody in Texas vacations".

I thought "wow, how bad must the rest of Texas be to vacation here....."

I also learned that 5 of the top ten fattest cities in the USA are in Texas.

Its not like Philly is the birthplace of our country and the first capital or anything.... :P

Its sooooo on!!!! 8-)

I'm just teasing, but other than Pat's, Geno's, and Wharton, there is not really anything else good about living in Philly. Weather, sucks, crime, sucks, 76ers, suck.

Don't forget the the Phillies and their 10,000+ losses. But damn those cheese steaks are tasty. Why can't people replicate it outside of Philly?

I actually dont like Philly at all......its dirty, unsafe, and the accents are HORRIBLE. I just feel obligated to stick up for it :P

Im not even applying to Wharton as my reach because if I happened to get in, I would have to stay here for at least 2 more years!

P.S. Im a Denver Nuggets fan....GO IVERSON!

Yeah, why is it that every Philly Cheesesteak place outside Philadelphia tastes absolutely nothing like a philly you can buy at Pat's or Geno's? I mean, have they ever even been to Philadelphia? It's usually never even close.

I was wholly unimpressed with Philly... It felt like every bar or restaurant was trying to mimic something in NYC, Boston...or even LA. Yes, being from LA I noticed the horrible attempt to create some sort of hipster LA thing in philly.

I did think where UPENN was located back there in University City ( i think that's what it was called) was pretty cool though. It was like it's own city...kind of reminded me of the dirtier east coast version of UCLA. Too bad it's the first stop off the Ben Franklin Bridge from Camden...or am I wrong about that too?

LMAO. What gets me is one of two things - either the "NY Style Lofts" or the "NY Style pizza" ....

It's like going to the Venetian in Vegas and telling everyone you've been to Venice....

I am going to Indy for a few days for a DMB concert at the end of July and to NYC for 4 or 5 days after the move to New Haven. My wife an I may spend a few days on some of the CT beaches as well.
