<T = 100 tells that <R = 40 : suff.

Stmt2.
<S = 40 : <R = 40, 70, or 100 : insuff.

you are/were correct. it should be A.

from i, angle r = 40. suff.
from ii, it coud be 40 or 70. nsf.

St1: If T = 100 then other angle can not be 100. It means other two angles are equal. So R = 40: SUFF

St2: If S = 40 then two possibilities (R = 40 and T = 100) or (T = 40 and R =100)

Straight A. If one angle in an isos. triangle is 100, the other 2 angles must each be 40. Therefore 1 is sufficient.

If one angle is 40, the others may be 70 each, or 40 and 100. Hence 2 is insuff.

A is the right answer.

1) One of the angles is 100.
In an isosceles trianlge two angles have to be equal. Since the other angle cannot be 100. Hence the other two angles should be equal to 40.

2) One of the angles is 40.

the other angle can be 70, 70 or 100, 40 etc.
